Goodmorning! I installed a new radio on my father's D22 Navara. Dashlights went off.. I think they are connected through the old radio. Now i will connect them again on a + wire. Should i connect it to the B+ wire or to the Acc+?? thanks..

Interesting. Mine (05 ZD30) has just started blowing instrument cluster fuses. The reverse camera to my stereo stopped working around the same time and I thought that might be he issue. I just pulled the fuse to the radio and started it and idled ok, all gauges alight. Blew again after a little throttle stab😕
I just came inside to search the forum for tips
Was it just the dash lights for you, or all the gauges?

goodmorning friends..I corrected it. D22 has 8 wires. 4 are for the speakers. One is b+ and the other one is Acc+. It is easy to find them with a + Car tester. Now, the other 2 was the problem. I found that the one is for the dashlights and the other one for the mechanism of Antenna. There is no ground wire. Oem radio grounds on chasis and from the radio Antenna. So i connected the dashlights wire (blue-pink) on the Acc+. Problem solved. The only difference is that now i have dashlights on at the acc position but i never use it anyway..I think that oem radio gives + to the dashlights when headlights are on. Thats the problem with oem radios when you change them..they give + through them to other devices. If anyone need help message me

As old tony said. They use a common earth which is down in the foot well on the drivers side. The radio should come with an earth wire just mount it to the metal radio mount and jobs done. Mine was blowing dash/radio fuses all the time till I changed the earth point. Might be worth your while to clean up the earth connections in the well as well.

Experiment for you, Boogieboots: add an earth wire from the stereo casing to one of the dashboard mounting bolts.
I found my answer from another thread on this forum Tony, my use of the search function is getting better now!
Looked up Instrument Cluster in the title using advanced search and found a thread where someone mentioned checking the speedo wire on the gearbox.
Wasn't the speedo, but buggered if I could work out which sensor was which on the side of the gearbox. One had a broken wire, with each wire to it having a separate plug and after finding no real help on Google I just removed the plugs, stuck in a new fuse and tested it.

All good! Speedo works, reverse switch works, nps works but no 4wd light now...

So for future reference the 4wd switch on the side of the ZD30 box is the one with a plug for each of its wires! Now to order a new one...

05 zd30 has a lot going on under the dash. When my air con stopped working I traced it back to the little blue air con switch. That’s when things got weird. Their is no straight +or - , just various voltages depending what is on at the time-blower motor, engine on , acc on, etc. No feed at all from the blower switch which should be on for the air con switch to work. In the end I just wired it up seperate to everything, just got to make sure the turn the blower on when the air con is on.
Oh, ur fuse blowing when u rev the engine is probably due to the fact that the alternated does not kick in until the engine is doing 12-1500 rpm.

"Hello, I have installed a radio with a rear camera for 2 years, everything worked fine until yesterday, the front and rear position lights on the driver's side do not work, the dashboard lights do not work now, the speedometer and rev counter are off. greetings"

Check your fuzes under the dash. What car?
