Hi all, I am looking for advice on injector pumps, I have changed the cam shaft sensor, checked all the wire which is in good order. The determination is the injector pump no longer works, has anyone had these issue and what is the estimated cost for repair or replace.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I've just been quoted $5.5k including labour and a few other bits and pieces. So, im guessing not much change out of $4.5k for just the pump

yes its about $5000 at Sydney Diesel and is a 14 hour job and its more than just replacing pump . I went through this exercise for friend who has same Nissan Navara as me . What was amazing how much Sydney Diesel
knew what gasgets and assorted sundries that car needed to go with a successful transplant . Hope this helps. regards peter

Well that one is for a YD but having said that $1k is super cheap - not that I have ever priced one but 3 - 4 $k is the usual discussed price. Has a Denso part number so presumably it's genuine ?
If not then does it fall into the get what you pay for category ?

All I can suggest is contact the seller, see if he has a genuine unit to suit and the price. These vehicles are getting older and sometimes you can find a stock on sale.

I recently had some issues with my car and we were leaning towards injector pump, the guys quoted me $2000 installed. This is country town type mechanic shop but the guy I was dealing with used to work for a Nissan service center back when these cars were coming through all the time.

I recently completed an injector pump change on the same year and model vehicle. The change over pump was $2600, new injectors $800, gasket & seal kit $180 and a new genuine hand primer pump was $270. I had to replace the primer pump with a new genuine one to retain the warranty on the injector pump.

Including new oil, oil filter, coolant, belt tensioner and belt the total cost of parts was $4,000.

I’d estimate between $1,200 & $1,500 in labour.

Good Luck 👍
