Hi all,

I am hoping someone can help, I have the ABS Light on as well as ESP Light on.
I have read to error codes and have C1110 Controller Failure + C1160 Decel G sen set errors which can not be cleared as they are active errors.

Possible cause but may be a red herring is I noticed my brake lights were not lighting and I was getting a random additional code (C1116 stop lamp switch), this was due to a previous owner putting an additional brake light cable in the truck bed. It had shorted out and blown the 10A fuse in the cab. This was after I had gotten the C1110 failure, but not sure if they are connected or not.

Tried disconnecting the batterie and driving for a but since removing the short, but the codes 1110+1160 are still present.
Cruise control strangely works again since clearing 1116, thought that disabled with any ABS or ESP errors.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh I also changed the Clock spring recently as I had C1143 ST ANG SEN error and the airbag light was on.

Thanks

Hi,

Seems nobody else wants to chime in on this one ... I'd check your wheel bearings. If they start to wear, grease and debris will enter the teeth of the ABS ring which is an integral part of the bearing assembly. This will make the ABS system think there's something wrong and will trigger the stability error and should disable 4WD as well.

I'd say the brake light was a separate issue.

If the clock spring is broken you'll have headlights, indicators and wipers but the steering wheel controls (cruise, horn) may not work and your airbag might not be connected, which should cause the airbag diagnostic module to throw an error as well.
