Took the old gal to get a blue slip today but just down the road I noticed all this drag like she didn't want to go ,put her on a slight hill ,didn't want to roll ,got home jacked front up ,walla front wheels wouldn't freespin ,took tyre off left get a little freespin rotation ,is this master cylinder problems ,already reconditioned vacume pump ,checked one way valves ,put in another booster ,I'm trucked thinking of putting on truck to see brakes specialist .

I was hearing a sucking noise up the way of the master cylinder yesterday when the car was turned off.
I'm a thinking maybe all's for the best would have failed as a wrecker suppliedCV shaft boot was pissing greese.Ordered new one hopefully put in tommorrow if rain stops.

Was it the master cylinder making the noise, or the brake booster? It's normal afaik to have occasional weird noises from the booster (at least mine has always done this) as it can remain in vacuum for quite a while after driving it.

Haven't you already changed the master cylinder?

Could there be something wrong with the front calipers? Are they mounted properly and all that? If you unbolt them, can you expand them without too much effort?

unfortunately your not doing things in a decent order and not telling us whats been done.
it sounds like your chasing a problem that may not even exist, replaced parts with unknown probably dodgy parts which is causing even more problems.
sorry but not much i can help you with.

You are probably right ,although I didn't check to see if the back brakes were locked as well ,sure felt like it I,ll try change the master cylinder first ,then expand the callipers ,just following blue slip mechanics instructions ,they said ,possibly check valve ,possibly master or booster ,I'm not a qualified mechanic ,just can do bits n prices so I ironed out all possibilities in that sector then got stuck brakes then checked internet and it says master cylinder ,really wish I could find a good mechanic that would come do some paddock work ,they all so busy ,no one has time ,I'm just battling it out from an ameture point of view.Wish I knew more and wreckers didn't sell me stuff that don't function properly. If no work properly tommorrow I book it in the brake specialist.

Back axle was hot so yes back brakes locked as well ,yes looking toward master cilinder .If not ,beyond my doing ,take to professional.
