Hi all I have a 2015 d40 navara and am having trouble with moisture in the cab. I seem to have narrowed it down to the vent behind the back seat. I initially thought maybe the back window was leaking but after squirting water on it and looking inside the vent had a fair amount of water sitting in the bits behind the rubber flaps. I have taken the vent out and inspected it, seems to look ok so not sure why it leaks. Just wondering if anybody else has had this issue or if anyone knows what can be done to fix it. I am considering gluing a rubber flap to the vent. Thanks.

If it's the opening behind the cabin on the left side, it's the cabin air exhaust vent.

Your air conditioning is designed to bring air into the cabin, and that air has to go somewhere or the pressure inside the cabin will rise. The vent in question is supposed to open outwards, not inwards, and allow air to vent outwards. Nothing's supposed to find its way back in.

I suppose it's possible that someone's installed it backwards?

Hi Old Tony thanks for the info. The vent is definitely installed the correct way and looks as though it should work as designed. I'll have to sit in there and watch how it gets in.
