I'm getting a random p0409 fault code sometimes, if I do a ECU reset it doesn't show up for a couple of days. Then it show up sometimes. I took the egr valve out and it's not clogged or stuck(previous owner told me he replaced the valve).
The egr has been blanked, can it be it?
Thanks

If you've checked what you can with egr and dont think its the problem and the code is coming up intermittently i would suspect an electrical fault.
have you driven thru alot of water recently or pressure washed the engine bay? water, dirt or even moisture can cause chaos in the wrong connection.
try disconnecting related electrical connections and spraying them with an electrical contactless cleaner and reconnect

No I haven't, bit I'll try to clean it anyway.

try the electrical cleaner, clear the code and see how your going then

Not sure on the D22, but D40s, if new enough, when blanked will throw up a fault as the sensor picks up there is no flow. Don't think the D22s were this clever though
