Anyoen got any ideas on getting this bolt out from the SCV.

Manages to fuck it up because of the access to this bolt is so tight. Other one came out fine.

use a chisel and hammer to "induce" anti clockwise rotation

1st thought give the cap head a few good hits axially to try and relaease any thread binding etc

Yes try a Torx bit. I've had success in the past with a Torx bit in a rounded hex socket head.

Hopefully you'll get it out. Consider making two extended head M6 bolts to make it easier to install the SCV and easier to get out again in the future. I used two 80mm long high tensile M6's. I screwed the nut on about 15mm to match the thread length of the original hex head M6's. I got the MIG out and tacked the nuts onto the bolts.

It's made the SCV removal and installation so much easier and kinder on the knuckles.

Hey guys managed to get it using a hex bit! Thanks for the help. Unfortunately replacing my SCV didnt bring back much power to the ute

Just so that the record is straight - that's not an Allen bolt, it's a Torx bolt. I don't remember the size, I tried to get my hand to it and succeeded, but I couldn't apply enough leverage to do anything with it. I couldn't even undo the electrical connector.

I hate Uncle Arthur with a passion.
