Hi all looking forward to hearing tips and tricks from experienced nav owners. I have a dobbinson classic bullbar and am instaling a winch but have kings 8.5 laser spotties anyone had a head scratcher as to where to put the solenoid box.

Got mine mounted in the void next to the winch, but if you're planning on doing any water crossings, extending the wires and mounting in the engine bay/on the fire wall is probably a better plan.

Welcome to the forum.

I guess it's up to the available space too, and how far the cable reaches. My winch - gone now - had a remote and a cable. The winch did not respond to the remote quickly, so I'd overpull on things - I dumped the remote in favour of something that responded a little faster, and organised the box so I could run the cable over the bonnet and drape it over the driver's mirror.

Yeah thanks its a kings winch and the solenoid box bracket is on a 45degree angle the bolts will be right at the front edge of the bullbar and the back will almost touch the grille but I might run the cables through the grille holes not sure yet
