Run reverse camera wiring

Hey guys,

I've got a dual cab rx and am looking to install a 7" screen with reverse camera. Done a few installs on my previous cars including a patrol, but never a navara before. Just wondering where I run the wire, namely getting it out of the cab through or under the tub.

What have others done?

I purchased a wireless reverse camera set up, I know this is not much help for where to run your wireing, but when I connected the camera, I connected it to my number plate light circuit.
This way when I reverse I turn on my park lights and that turns the camera on and I can see behind using the monitor.
By setting up the circuit that way I can leave the camera running even when I am driving forward just by leaving the lights on.
At night I just turn off the monitor when driving and turn it on to reverse.

I have found this set up to be excellent.

Hope this helps I ran mine though the fire wall above the go pedal theres a large bunch of cables I used a very long Philips head screw driver I taped a long piece of 4mm elec cable to the end (covering point) slowly fed it in between cables through the engine bay side very tight be carefully not to poke into existing cables once inside un tape pull out tool ,tape camera cable on close to fire wall pull through I left the 4 mm cable in just in case I have to send another through

I've got a 2007 dualcab and did this recently.
I ran the wire internally to the vent at the left rear of the cab.
Fold the rear passenger side seat forward for access.
From there I encased it in that spirally conduit for protection and ran it along the chassis to the back.

The camera mounted using the number plate screws, and I picked up power and switching from the left rear tail light cluster.

I ran mine through a grommet passenger side floor under the carpet then through the chassis and tapped into left hand reverse light.

another vote for the vents behind the rear seats. i fitted my camera in the recess above the spare wheel winder slot, and ran loom down chassis rail and along inside of towbar.
