    Navara V6 V9X STX550 Torque Converter Slip

I did wonder if it would behave differently when cold so not to damage anything or to prevent people from kicking the crap out of them when cold. Yes might is really noticeable going up hill when cold

    D40 V9X Engine Problem

Found my old thread, have a wee read if you like. Similar issues I think, although I ended up with more problems down the line which came back to a blown intercooler https://www.navaraforum.com/threads/navara-v9x-starting-and-power-issues.37137/

    D40 V9X Engine Problem

Speaking from experience, the EGR does throw the V9X into some sort of limp mode. It's not like 30mph limp mode, but certainly feels like someone just tipped the turbo out. I had this exact same code, although my EGR failed open, meaning the Nav would never start as it was breathing exhaust...

    Navara V6 V9X STX550 Torque Converter Slip

Hello all, I've had this issue for a while and I kept meaning to get a video of it to try and help describe the issue. Well that's even if it is an issue. Fellow V6, V9X and STX550 owners (ok maybe not STX550 as I'll explain below) do you get the same thing and it's maybe not an issue??? So I...

    Navara D40 V9X exhaust

Unfortunately mine has the tube that goes up into the engine bay to a sensor. Either need to get it mapped out or one of those adaptors that fools the ECU. Not sure if they work though

    Navara D40 V9X exhaust

Not so good! I didn't think the Nav's had DPFs over your way?

    Navara D40 V9X exhaust

You would be better removing the internals of your DPF so it still looks like there is a DPF fitted if you concerned with getting a roadside spot check. Where are you located? I'm in the UK and I may or may not have a high flow DPF fitted. Passes MOTs with no issues. Also have a stainless steel...

    Another black smoke thread…

Yea you need to be careful with the BCS, a lot of genuine fakes out there

    Another black smoke thread…

Had a similar issue on my YD25, turned out to be injectors were passing. So not fully closing/shutting off when they were meant to. When the truck was idling or engine braking the injectors would constantly fire too much fuel and it wasn't getting burned. Under load or throttle it wouldn't be an...

    Cooling fan clutch

I think it's a temp sensor issue... Likely in the EGR cooler, likely because I blanked the EGR pipe at the intake side and EGR valve is stuck wide open. That's my thoughts as this is when the problem started and the fan does go off once thermostat opens. If the ambient air temp stays above...

    Cooling fan clutch

Oh it's moving some amount of air! You want to hear the noise, it's like a 20 year old HGV! I think I know what is causing the issue, but not tried my fix yet.

    Cooling fan clutch

I have the opposite problem, on the opposite side of the world. So it's winter here, -3 at the moment. What's nuts is, my fan stays on until the truck has warmed up, so 15-20 minutes of driving...

    D40 Fuel range while towing

Around 20L/100km, towing nothing. But then again, it does the same towing over 3T. I do have a V9X pushing over 400bhp and 800nm of torque...

    P0409 egr

Not sure on the D22, but D40s, if new enough, when blanked will throw up a fault as the sensor picks up there is no flow. Don't think the D22s were this clever though

    V9X Boost Issue Surging

Yep, unfortunately the V9X for the UK does indeed have a DPF to meet Euro 5 emissions regs...
