Im glad to hear that the insurance is coming through. This was my main concern. As I dont want to waste almost a grand a year for NRMA for nothing. Definately get a tyre placard sticker tho just to keep the boys in blue happy.

Drawing up an old thread hear but.... Do you think Qld transport would see a Dx and an STR equal as they are really variations of the same model. I wanna run 265/75 on a DX ute. I'm leaning towards no. Whatever is on the tyre placard as the size.....Which sucks for a dx as placard...

Scotty your right, on the tyre calculator the 33's are a touch over 50mm increase which is no good to the plod. I was never concerned with that when i was modifying commodores as they were never insured, but the Nav is...... Dont wanna spend $800pa to NRMA for nothing. 32's on +20 It is...

Ridgie, The +20 and the 265s sit great. I can get 33's for $245 or the 32's for $255 as the later needs to be ordered in. Im leaning towards the 32's as i wont have to lift the body and tray. Not sure if anyone has lifted there bars and have had it engineered. It would be great to fit...

I had a similar issue with my 04 dx just after i brought it second hand. It had a loud screeching noise when the motor was boosting. Would not do it free reving so it was definately turbo related. Thought my turbo was gone. Took the intake pipe off to check the shaft play and it was fine...
