Replaced my leaking factory intercooler today with an 80mm core one from Forefront Industries. I noticed that I’d lost 2psi on the boost gauge (which is pre-cooler), so guessing it flows a bit more! Wound the boost up a bit and she’s feeling good! And no more oil dripping on the exhaust manifold lol

    ECU remap exchange

Most Speedo’s read lower so the emissions are better during testing, helps many cars record better emissions and economy on paper when they’re coming into the country. I just go off gps, but mine reads 106 on the Speedo at 100 actual. Was a much bigger difference on the factory height tyres lol...

    D40 fuel economy

No problem. It’s been 9 years since I left Nissan 😳😂, but from memory there were more than 5 worth doing. Any at all you find won’t hurt to check/clean!

    Clutch problems

Certainly sounds bizarre! No oil leak inside the bell housing is there? My old D40 had an input shaft seal leaking onto the clutch which burned it out.

    D40 fuel economy

Hey mate, we had issues with them early on with poor earths. I’d recommend removing all earth points you can access and removing paint from under them. The bolt earthing via the thread only isn’t the best. Personally saw a D40 YD25 auto drop from 14L/100km down to 10 just by doing this. Worth a...

    Indicators and wiper problem

Sounds like an issue with the stalks. Poor connection, canbus comms error, etc.

    ECU remap exchange

Economy is the same at 10.5L/100km when driving sensibly, doesn’t seem to change in town or out. When I’m driving it harder and using the extra power, I sit around 11-11.5L/100km (beating p platers at traffic lights, etc 😂😇).

Does it have standard size road tyres like factory? Steel bar work, canopy, etc will all have an effect too. Dirty air flow meter, leaking fuel rail pressure relief valve, bad earths under the bonnet (often paint under the factory points), and many other things can start affecting consumption...

    ECU remap exchange

They reckon you should see a change from the factory 98kw at the engine, to around 90-95kw at the wheels! So yes it is quite a change. Second gear wet road slides on the 32” geolandar X-AT’s is now normal if I’m not careful 🫢😂

    ECU remap exchange

You should have it set lower, so that it only hits 20psi when under full load (towing uphill, etc). Mine usually wont go over the 18psi even when booting it around town, but 20 when under full load

Hey Dev, It certainly makes a fair difference to sound levels in the cabin. Imagine it helps as insulation also. It also makes the stereo a lot quieter to people outside the car, less likely to cop a fine for that now I guess 😂

Straight swap, 5 screws for the steering column shroud, two screws for the stalk, one plug. Done!

    2" sus lift requirements

Gday and welcome! Ive got a very similar set up to yours. Found my front inner CV boots are now torn and it hasn’t even been off-road lately. Just ordered a 27mm front diff drop kit yesterday… (suppose I’ll fit my front diff lokka while it’s all apart!) Also, the rear tailshaft centre bearing...

How best to remove the heads from a 2012 V9X V6 TD

Gday! From memory, engine out if you follow the workshop manual. EGR pipe in the valley was part of a recall years ago, and even that was meant to be engine out (thankfully we found a short cut before it came to that!).

Added an N15 Pulsar wiper stalk with variable speed today. $40 from a wrecker! Best budget mod yet lol
