As you can see I've got a bit of a leak on the elbow that comes off the turbo. I'm getting a bit of black smoke when reversing and on start up, and when pushing the revs. When the engine is up to temp not much that I can see though. The turbo is making a funny sound when I restart the engine...

Sounds like I'm lucky to have an older Nav with a dumb alternator then. Maybe shoot the Ctek tech's a message ?

I had a ctek d250se dcdc charger in my camper trailer, it had a red wire to connect to ignition if you have a smart alternator.

I tried one of the ebay ones but it didn't have a bolt rope at the front, and the way they said to clip it on I couldn't manage to do so sent it back. It was pretty thin plastic stuff too, not the heavy duty material of the original. Rang up a wrecker and got a reasonable condition one for $100.

Ive had a eonon unit about 10 months in a Spanish D40. Use the radio now and again, mainly use spotify. Run Sygic navigation on it, still working ( so far ). edit : It came with bluetooth obd dongle, and you can get an android auto dongle for it.
