    D40 V9X EGR Cooler

Hi Bernhard, if you cannot find any parts specifically for a Nissan V9X engine in Europe do a search for Renault as they manufactured the engine and the V9X engine is used in a number of Renault vehicles.

    D40 V9X EGR Cooler

A former mechanic, now retired, told me to do that, maybe he was not aware the EGR was deleted, perhaps I didn't mention it, too long ago to remember. I will make new blank plates this weekend.

    D40 V9X EGR Cooler

Hi Bernhard, after replacing the radiator in my D40 V9X Navara, I ended with an "EGR cooling performance" error (P2457), so I am interested in your issue. When you unplugged the cooler from the coolant system did you loop the pipes, block pipes, join pipes, etc. I have blanked off the EGR but...

Rear Main Engine seal STX550 2011

This may be of some help to someone. I have a 2012 STX-550 with a blanked off EGR AND a catch-can. The catch-can developed a blockage in it which over pressurized the engine and consequently blew the rear engine seal. My mechanic (Nissan certified) told me that if the EGR is blanked off YOU DO...

Location of Suction Control Valve on a V9X Engine

@Labsy, the "mushroom" is the VACUUM BOOST SOLENOID for the TURBO. The buzzing sound means it is working!

Location of Suction Control Valve on a V9X Engine

@Jamesltu, if you look at the engine from the front (V9X) on the right hand side (wheel side) of the engine, near the front, gently move the plumbing out of the way, you will find the SCV. DO NOT DISCONNECT ANY OF THE PLUMBING. It has one electrical connection and a 10mm bolt holding it in. The...

    EGR Pipe

Just a side note regarding the radiators. If your radiator has a plastic top, may be grey or greenish colour, and the top has a whitish colour on it, recommendation is replace the radiator, once the white appears there is an average of 5000 k's before the radiator becomes terminal.

GLOW PLUG LIGHT FLASH/LIMP WHILST DRIVING - unsure

I had the same problem with my 550, one of the glow plugs was faulty, replaced the lot with Bosch plugs (better than NGK). Be very careful when undoing the old ones, soak them with WD40 for about an hour to "loosen" the threads, do not over tighten the new ones and DO NOT TEST THE NEW ONES...

    P0093 error code update

With regards to @Courie's problem, I had a very similar issue and after replacing the fuel filter and SCV, both of which had nothing wrong with them, it turned out to be a Glow Plug issue, #5 glow would snuff out above 60Kph. Replaced all the glows and problem gone, total cost of filter and SCV...

    D40 V9X Fuel primer location

A tip for those wanting to change fuel filter/s , Prime the new fuel filter FIRST. Take a length of clear tube and attach it to the outlet side and keep it higher than the filter, do the same with the inlet side and attach a funnel and keep pouring fuel into the funnel until no bubbles appear in...

    v9x radiator removal

Hi Old.Tony, yes I have done that, sprayed them wet with Brake cleaner and dried with compressed air then sprayed with WD40 and re-plugged. Nav goes in for service at the end of this coming week and the mechanic says he is familiar with this problem (at my age I don't think I qualify for a...

    v9x radiator removal

I replaced my radiator with an all aluminium radiator (2012 V9X Spain), disconnected ALL hoses and pipes etc. as well as the radiator fan (Important!). On the sides of the radiator is a rubber mount, aka shock absorber, that locks into a similar mount attached to the frame (best description =...

    STX-550 radiator replacement

Took the 550 to my mechanic today on the way to Bundaberg. He did the proper radiator bleed and it still threw up the error. He noticed that the area where the pump is located is quite oily, thanks to the previous catch can that was there, we assumed, and quite logically, that when I had tucked...

    STX-550 radiator replacement

Thanks for the responses, First, @landmannnn I remember coming across the procedure on one of the other/older forum sites, will look it up. Second, @Old.Tony I will locate the EGR, which seems like it is buried under 3kms of tubing, and try your suggestion, would a multimeter be of any use...
