ive seen a tailshaft that dropped and done damage to underside of cars .never seen one catapult a car but have seen them turn ti spaghetti and damage floor pans , brake lines electrical and fuel lines when fronts drop as well as damage the diff housing where the shaft bolts up.....thats why all...

poked my head under and behind the bumper,couldnt see any wires and even the wisest of the wise....mr google isnt giving me any info on a different light stalk. so no wires means i would have to run new ones to the light swich if there is another available ......gunna stick it in the too hard...

last time i was in there the only roof tray/baskers they had only bolted up to vehicles with roof rails not roof racks

older d 40s suffered from timing chain issues....bite the bullet buy a duplex chain

it could be the uni that is stuffed as it will have play in it and when you first put it in gear it will knock does it do it every time you take off or just first time? does it do it when u put it in reverse also? if it is a uni problem at worse your tailshaft could fall out and leave u stuck on...

was it a factory lid..if so just go to nissan...if not go to bunnings and find something similar

how fast are you at running cos i would run away,and not look back how it has a replacement chassis under it is beyond me if its a repairable write off usually repairable ones dont have chassis damage to the point where it requires another chassis to be placed under it then theres the white...

im pretty sure that hid lights as an aftermarket fitment are illegal as they dont have the ability to be adjusted and most the hid i have seen say not for road use or non adr compliant on them ..... as for led you need to have a canbus fitted to make them work properly ,even then im not sure...

just wondering if theres wiring in behind the bumper and if theres a switching mechanism already installed...on the wifes x trail we had to get a new light stalk on the steering column and install that which worked from factory loom...just havent seen any different light stalks for the d22

navlife sell slotted new rotors and pads a a kit for about$ 270 and flea bay has new hub assemblies works out heaps cheaper than the nissan rebuild offer,

i just looked on navlife website , there is dual mass flywheels on their clutch listings as well as conversion kits,so they definately do have them in some models

i think you will have a dual mass flywheel and clutch setup in it from factory, pretty sure dual mass cant be machined and is a throw away item, get a single mass conversion, atleast then you dont have to pay the rip off amount every time a clutch goes the way of the dodo

wouldnt xhange mine for a d40 ...will leave it at that
