Worth it! I'm also a new owner of a 2012, (d40) though. I surely heard no rattling in mine, its done 200,000 so I thought jumping into a mechanic just in case would be a good idea and yep, there goes an extra $2400 out of my wallet 😭 but thats a lot better than having to buy a new engine I guess.

Thanks mate! Would disconnecting the battery before removing the airbag be advised or does the airbag trigger not use power from the battery?
