@Old.Tony Thank you for your help, I was able to check the part no. of the SCV and was in stock at the local Repco, Installled, reset ECU and went for a drive. Been about 1.5 weeks and no sign of it happening again plus the car seems to be running so much better now which is an added bonus.

Cheers @Old.Tony, Starts no drama even cold -1 degree mornings handles easy. Injector cleaner through at last service 5000k ago. Have not done a MAFS clean for a while, will add that to the list for the weekend as well. I'll definitely pop the SCV out and check it while I'm there. Thanks...

Yeah it is definitely a wouring kind of noise, so if i put one of those egr blanking plates in does that stop it at all or just one of those things you just put up with?

i dont get the sound turning on its only when turning off the engine i do get that sound as well but its very different also when adjusting where the airflow comes from, i will pop the hood and try and record the sound from outside the car

its coming from the actual motor i couldn't really pin point where abouts but i believe its coming from the passenger side. also there are no strange sounds starting up or while running
